Wings of a Butterfly is Out!

Wings of a Butterfly is out! Why are we literally being cute rn ??? 😭😭😭

We made this video at a waterpark in Canberra (don’t tell on us please guys) and it’s really bittersweet because it was where my Highschool would take us at the end of school each year for fun and where we had our swimming carnivals. Me and my friends would go down the big wrap around slide and the first person would go down really slow and the next person would go really fast and we’d meet and slide together for a bit and then try and spread out at the end and act like nothing happened lol. I remember trying to flirt with my crush in my wet bikini in-line for the slides to the sound of 104.7 playing on the oldest ever megaphone ass speakers.

When the waterpark became abandoned we knew we wanted to make a video there, and so we kind of had it as a thought for a few years, but it was obviously all fenced in and the other thing is that it’s very visible when you’re in there so you just kind of have to hope no one calls the police lol. We didn’t really run into any trouble though, which is crazzyyyyy for Canberra: everyone loves to be a little stickler for the rules. Only one older lady was there yelling ‘do you have permission’ and we were like ‘yeah’ (we obviously didn’t lol) and she was like ‘oh ok just checking’ and left. So it was cruisy, we went on weekdays so there was less people around and just kind of acted like we were meant to be there so it all worked out luckily, and it’s just special to have someplace that held a lot of memories and meant a lot to a bunch of Canberrans immortalised in our video and I really hope they don’t knock it down, but if they do we can remember it forever now 💌
